Is the Paula's Choice BHA hype real?

On every skincare forum I go to, someone recommends the 2% BHA liquid. For blackheads, for bumps, for clogged pores, for world peace probably.

I have blackheads on my nose that have been there since the first Bush administration. Pore strips do nothing except hurt. Is this the answer or is it just a cult?

It's a cult and I'm in it. Use it every other night at first. It takes a few weeks, not a few days, so be patient.

it's good but it won't make blackheads disappear forever, nothing does. nose pores are just big and they fill up. it keeps them smaller and less dark. manage your expectations

@rocket_jill this is the most important thing nobody tells you. A lot of what people think are blackheads are sebaceous filaments. Totally normal. Everyone has them.

I just googled sebaceous filaments and now I'm staring at my nose in a hand mirror. this is my life now

Stinging for a few days is normal, burning isn't. If it really burns, stop. I was using it with Retin-A at the same time and my face was angry for a week. Don't be me.

also stop with the pore strips, they don't really help and they're rough on your skin

Week 4 update: nose is noticeably better. Not perfect. But better, and the bumps on my chin are gone, which I didn't even expect. Ok fine. I'm in the cult.
