K-beauty orders after the customs changes (US)

US people: have you ordered from Korea since the duty-free thing for small packages ended at the end of August? My usual order (sunscreen, toner, a pack of sheet masks) got stuck for two weeks, and then I got a bill for fees before they'd deliver it.

Is everyone just paying it? Stocking up? Switching to stuff from the pharmacy?

Paid it once, got angry, and started buying from US shops that carry K-beauty. A bit more expensive, but no surprise fees and it arrives in 3 days.

some of the big sites add the duties at checkout now, so at least you know up front. still more expensive, but less of a surprise

I stocked up in July when people started posting about it. I have 6 tubes of sunscreen in my closet. My girlfriend thinks I'm preparing for the apocalypse. I'm preparing for a summer without mayonnaise sunscreen.

Update: found my sunscreen at a US shop for $4 more than I used to pay, no fees, arrived in 2 days. Not great, not terrible. Leaving this here for anyone who finds the thread later.
