is every game a roguelike now or is it just me

Looked at my Steam library this morning. Balatro, Hades, Dead Cells, Slay the Spire, Hades II in early access, some deckbuilder my girlfriend made me buy...

I used to play 80 hour RPGs. Now I play the same 20 minutes over and over and call it 'just one more run'. When did this happen to me.

Balatro ruined my sleep schedule more than any MMO ever did. And I raided in vanilla WoW.

honestly as someone with two jobs, a game where a run takes 30 minutes is the only kind of game I have time for now

My girlfriend says I play too much. She's not wrong.

Counterpoint: I've been playing Stardew for 8 years and I will never play a roguelike. I like my farm. My farm does not reset.

Hades II early access has me checking for patch notes like it's 2005 and I'm waiting on a WoW patch
